Ok, so
based on the title, I assumed this is going to be a thriller, with perhaps a
touch of romance…. I was wrong. Take note that I do not read blurbs. Nor did I see the cover when I requested this
book. Lol.
This is
primarily a romance with a touch of action, a bite of suspense and gleam of
intrigue. At its core, it is however, a
romance.
So as far
as romances go, this is not a bad read, quite the contrary. The suspense build up was intriguing, the
attraction undeniable and the characters both likeable and easy to identify
with.
The world
building, the rural mountain life etc is the perfect romantic back drop for
this story and served to add to basic plot line.
Not much in
the way of character development, not much needed as both the main protagonists
are written as likeable, if somewhat extraordinary people made for one another.
All in all,
given that I do not much care for romance books, this is one I am glad I picked
up.
